Claude Project Downloader — How to Export Your Project Files
Four steps. That's it.
Open your Claude project
Navigate to claude.ai, open Projects, and go into the project whose files you want to export.
Click the extension icon
Open Claude Project Downloader from your Chrome toolbar while the project page is active.
Refresh to load your files
Hit "Refresh Files" and the extension lists every document in the project's knowledge base.
Choose format and download
Pick native format or Markdown, then download files individually or grab everything as one ZIP.

If a file type can't be exported directly, like spreadsheets, the extension generates a ready-to-paste prompt that asks Claude to hand you the contents in chat instead.
The extension is free — 5 downloads a day plus one full project export, with no account or sign-up required, and it stays that way. If it saves you time, you can support the developer for a one-off $4.99, which switches on unlimited downloads and unlimited full project exports as a thank-you. Supporting is optional; nothing about the free features depends on it. Everything happens locally in your browser using your existing Claude.ai session: no credentials are stored, no project data is uploaded anywhere, and nothing is tracked.
