When you upgrade, Freemius handles the checkout and emails your licence key to the address you paid with as soon as the payment clears. It is also shown on the welcome page you land on immediately afterwards — that page is the primary handover, and the email is the backup, so you are never waiting on an inbox to start using Pro.
Can't find either? Email support@claudeprojectdownloader.com from the address you bought with and we'll resend it.
Activating your key
- 1Open claude.ai and click the Claude Project Downloader icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- 2Scroll to "Enter your license key" at the bottom of the side panel (on versions before 1.15: "Upgrade to Pro" → "Already purchased?").
- 3Paste your licence key.
- 4Hit Activate. The daily limit lifts straight away — no reload, no account.
Using a second browser or a new laptop? Paste the same key into each one. Your key is not tied to a single machine, and you do not need to deactivate the old install first.
Free, Pro, and what you're charged
The extension is free and stays free: 5 single downloads a day plus one full project export, with no account and no trial that expires. The allowance resets every day, forever — if you hit it, you can simply come back tomorrow.
Pro comes two ways. Monthly bills every month until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment and never bills again. Both cover up to three of your browsers, remove every free-tier limit, and add full-account backups and automatic backups. (The on-page usage meter is free for everyone.) Cancel a monthly plan
Go to the cancel page, paste your licence key and it's done — or email us and we'll do it for you. Pro keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, and every file you exported stays yours.
Bought a lifetime licence, or the $4.99 one-time Pro before October 2026? There is nothing to cancel — it never bills again. If you see a recurring charge you didn't expect, email us and we'll refund it.
Bought a while ago?
Keys issued before the current checkout still work and always will. That covers keys from the period when purchases ran through BuyMeMomo, and the licences bought through Dodo Payments in July 2026. Paste yours in exactly as above — our licensing server still recognises all of them, and you do not need to re-purchase or migrate anything.
Refunds
If you changed your mind, or Pro didn't do what you hoped, email us within 7 days of paying and we'll return your money — no questions asked. The full wording is in section 7 of the terms.

Contact supportThe extension exports projects you already have access to in your own signed-in Claude session. It can't reach anything your account can't already open.
