DMCA Copyright Policy

1. Our role

Claude Project Downloader is a browser extension that runs entirely on your own computer. We do not host, store, index, or transmit the content it saves. There is no library, repository, or server of ours that holds it, and no public listing of it anywhere.

This shapes what a copyright complaint can achieve here: we cannot remove material we never possessed. What we can do — and will do — is act on credible reports by restricting or terminating a user's access, withdrawing support for a particular source, and cooperating with rights holders and lawful requests. Section 3 sets out exactly what is within our power.

2. Reporting a copyright concern

If you own a copyright, or are authorised to act for the owner, and you believe Claude Project Downloader is being used to infringe it, email dmca@claudeprojectdownloader.com. So we can act on your report, please include:

• •Your name, the rights holder you represent, and how to reach you — an email address, and a phone number or postal address.
• •The copyrighted work or works concerned. Where there are many, a representative list is fine.
• •What you are asking us to act on, described precisely enough for us to identify it: the specific behaviour, account, page, or listing.
• •A statement that you believe in good faith that the use complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• •A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
• •Your signature, physical or electronic.

We aim to acknowledge reports within five business days.

3. What we can act on

Because we host nothing, a report will normally concern one of the following, and these are what we are able to act on:

• •A user’s access. We can suspend or terminate the licence and access of a user shown to be using the product to infringe.
• •Support for a source. We can remove the ability to save from a specific platform, domain, or work.
• •Our own published material. Anything on our website, store listing, or documentation is ours to correct or remove.

We cannot delete, recover, or disclose files already saved on someone's computer. We have no access to them and no record of what they are.

4. If we got it wrong

If we restricted your access and you believe it was a mistake or a misidentification, email dmca@claudeprojectdownloader.com with:

• •Your signature, physical or electronic.
• •What was restricted, and when.
• •A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was restricted through a mistake or a misidentification.
• •Your name, address, and telephone number, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where you live — or, if you are outside the United States, any district in which we may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the person who complained.

We may pass your counter-notice to whoever complained. If they do not tell us within ten business days that they have gone to court, we may restore your access at our discretion.

5. Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts and licences of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others. We may also restrict or terminate access for any user who infringes, whether or not they have done so before.

6. False reports

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), knowingly and materially misrepresenting that something is infringing — or that it was restricted by mistake — can make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please do not send a notice you do not believe in.

7. What the product is for, and what we do not permit

Claude Project Downloader exports your own Claude projects, conversations, and files from your own signed-in account. The material it saves is, in the ordinary case, work you created or already hold. It does not bypass logins or access controls, and it has substantial non-infringing uses: keeping a personal archive of your own work, moving it between tools, and retaining it independently of any one service.

We do not authorise, encourage, induce, or condone the use of Claude Project Downloader to infringe anyone's rights. You agree not to use it to:

• •Reproduce, distribute, publicly perform or display, or make derivative works from copyrighted material without the rights holder’s permission or another lawful basis.
• •Circumvent a technological measure that effectively controls access to a copyrighted work.
• •Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

Using it to infringe is prohibited, is entirely at your own risk, and may cost you access as well as exposing you to civil or criminal liability.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy is effective as of August 5, 2026. We may update it; changes take effect when they are posted here, and the effective date is updated with them.
