Troubleshooting Guide

    Claude Project Downloader

    Error: "Couldn't find docs request"

The most common issue when the extension cannot locate your project's files.

The extension relies on intercepting the network request that Claude.ai makes when loading your project documents. If you've been on the page for a while, or if you navigated there without triggering a full page reload, the request might not be in your browser's recent performance entries.

    How to Fix It:

    1. Navigate precisely to the Project page you want to download.
    2. Perform a hard refresh of the page (Cmd+Shift+R or Ctrl+Shift+R).
    3. Once the page has fully loaded, click the extension icon again.
    4. If it still fails, click on a few individual documents inside the project to force Claude to load data, then try the extension again.

    Missing Files or Incomplete Downloads

If your ZIP archive doesn't contain all the files, or if the individual download list is missing some items:

    • Pagination Limits: Currently, the extension fetches the documents loaded by the browser. If a project has hundreds of files, you might need to scroll down on the web page to ensure Claude loads all of them into the browser memory before using the extension.
    • Rate Limiting: If you are clicking "Download Individual" too quickly, Chrome might throttle the downloads. We recommend using the "Download ZIP" feature for large quantities of files.
